Re-Roofing Over Existing Singles Is Not A Skill.

When it comes to giving an estimate to a customer four or five hundred dollars over the average re-roof  price can be a challenge sometimes. Especially if it’s the same homeowner who tried to save 3oo dollars from previous re-roof.

One thing you should never agree to is installing new shingles over the existing shingles. Saving 200$ now can cost you way more especially if there was hidden secrets about the plywood or the roof. I personally get upset when i see two layers of shingles on a roof. It’s called “lack of workmanship” if you ask me. When the new shingles are installed over the existing roof, it looks like sh*t. The roof never looks flat and it is too obvious from a distance. I personally spend the extra few hours now than spend a whole day ripping. Two hours of labor becomes a full day eventually because if it was a 60 bundle house, now its a 120 bundle house. If you are getting our roof replaced make sure it is actually replaced not relayed.
