I personally get upset when i see two layers of shingles on a roof. It’s called “lack of workmanship” if you ask me. When the new shingles are installed over the existing roof, it looks like sh*t. The roof never looks flat and it is too obvious from a distance. I personally spend the extra few hours now than spend a whole day ripping.
