I was in a new residential area today and what a great job builders do installing maximum vents side by side even though on the box of the vents it says  ” install minimum 8 feet apart in order to have it work properly”. Don’t worry homeowners your warranty on your new roof is only one or two years.

If 25 years shingles are only good for 10 years go after the builder not the shingle manufacturer. If 30 years shingles are only good for 15 years, go after the builder not the manufacturer. If 40 years shingles are only good for only 20 years, go after the builder not the manufacturer. Because of the installation errors and lack of ventilation homeowners say these shingles are garbage but unfortunately your builder was cheap and cared about quantity not quality. Has anyone ever bought a new home that came with a 25 years warranty??? No sh*t. If you get two years warranty out of your builder you are considered blessed.

Installing two vents side by side does not help either. When the roof vents are installed to close to each other they cancel each other out and instead of having two vents working, you only have one of them functioning. Eventually it causes hot attic air to get trapped in your attic and cook the shingles from inside. Best advise i can give any new homeowner is that hire a professional roofing company in your area to inspect your roof and point out the obvious issues or problems before the warranty runs out.
