These days if you type the word roof in google you will get millions of results for that keyword. Google is the new and improved way of researching and studying tool. I’ve noticed yellow pages has been loosing weight since internet has improved its capability.

Google will list all the companies in your area and yellow pages will list all the companies by alphabetic order. Lets say you phoned few companies and requested a quote for a new roof. Next day you have three estimates in front of you and i am sure they all have a different cost in mind. What is the right thing to do at this point? First of all read all the estimates one by one and understand what is being offered and for how much. Second of all is the type of material being offered what you had in mind? If you are not sure about any of the estimates feel free to phone the company and get the answers you are looking for. Chances are there will be an expensive, mid-range and a cheaper one. It is your right to ask for proof of insurance which you should always ask for that. Not just a liability insurance, you should ask for a wsib insurance as well. Also to know who you are dealing with, ask for Master Business Licence to confirm that this is a real company registered in Ontario and not some flyby roofer trying to make quick cash. The final decision is always yours and never give deposit unless you have identified the company and made sure they exist. Ask for receipt if you do give a deposit and a deposit should not exceed over 25% of the total cost.
